The Association for Child and Family Mental Health was set up in 1997 in Rzeszów, Poland to promote child, adolescent and family mental health. It is registered as non-profit organisation. There is a group of professionals dealing with children, youth and families in mental health service, mainstream and special schools, and academic teachers in psychology and philosophy.
Aims and activities: Networking at local level, including the creation of multi-disciplinary and inter- agencies meetings and conferences in order to promote the child and family mental health. Trainings in communication skills for parents are delivered.
The Association was involved in projects funded by SOCRATES – GRUNDTVIG programme and in a Daphne project.
To the present partnership, we contribute our experiences of our parent education programme "Parents' School" and our extensive experience of working with families in many different ways.
